What Is Awakening In You?

As life is springing forth once again on it's journey from slumber to vibrancy, from darkness to light, I invite you to join me in the woods as we listen to that which is within us and is yearning to be expressed.

This journey will take place in the glorious wilderness of Austin Creek State Park, just outside of Guerneville. We will descend into a rich and verdent land where deer, turkeys, wild pigs, and even mountain lions make their home. The weekend will be a combination of vision quest, group process, hiking, and music cirlces designed to allow us to feel and express our natural rhythm.

Schedule

Friday eve 5pm
Depart from trail head
Silent "listening hike" in to site
At site:
After we set up, we will gather in circle for a fire with song, rhythm, stories etc.

Saturday:
7; Morning yoga and Song
8:30; breakfast
10; Vision Quest;
Time alone in the woods to reflect on the question "What is awakening in me?"
1; lunch
2: Hike to top of Fox Mountain
Gather in circle
Majestic views and sunset. Bring dinner
Full moon hike back to camp.

Sunday:
Yoga and song
Breakfast
9; Circle: an opportunity to share what is emerging in us. This can be done any
number of ways; story, song, music, poetry, movement, even silence. Whatever
means expresses this best.
Lunch
1:30 Closing circle
Hike back at your leasure.

The cost for the weekend (includes camp site and activites): $40.00.
Space is limited.

What to bring

AN ADVENTURESOME SPIRIT
Food for yourself
Water shoes
Flashlight (headlamp if you have one)
Tent: do you have or do you need?
If you have one, do you have extra space? For how many?
Small, lightweight percussion or musical instrument
All personal items for sleeping and toiletries.
There is an outhouse available.
No running water other than the creek.
Shared items: do you have these? No need for us to bring more than one or two.
Cooking stove with fuel.
Cooking pots.
Water purifier.
